THE DYNAMICS OF HUMAN RESOURCES EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP

All Saints Pastoral Centre, Shenley Lane, London Colney, St Albans Herts AL2 1AF

This workshop explores some key issues in organisations: what happens when authority is delegated? What dynamics does this create among staff and what impact does it have on their resourcefulness? How does covert competition affect creativity in organisations, and how does this compare with the overt competition of the unmanaged market place in which organisations compete for business? You will have the opportunity to explore these questions through experiential activities and relate them to your own work situation.

Aim

The aim of the workshop is for participants to increase their understanding of the dynamics created by different ways of deploying human resources, within managed and unmanaged environments.

Design

The workshop is designed around two main sessions: the resource management event and the marketplace event. You will be able to experience and reflect on the difference between your responses and feelings in a larger managed organisation and in a smaller independent self-managing team. The method of learning is experiential.

Who is this Workshop for?

The workshop is for anyone who wants to develop their understanding of the conscious and unconscious dynamics of human resources in organisations today. It will be of interest to those working in organisations as leaders, managers, in staff development, OD or HR and to consultants, facilitators and trainers working with organisations.
